A heat sink is always a good thing -- lower temps are always better, but those temps aren't anything to be afraid of. I don't like to go much higher than that, but you're OK. Pop on a cheap heat sink and you'll be in the barrel.

A heat sink will help some, but not a whole lot. I would guess with a heat sink the motor would be about 130 or something like that.

after having owned both a tt01 and a ta05r I perfer the ease of driving and the stability of the TT01. Very easy and kudos to Tamiya

hi, just bought a tb-02 and wanted to know if i could use standard wheels and tires from pro sedans on this car, im new to onroad ive raced carpet oval since 1990. any help would be appreiciated

Hey RaceBucks, I bought the TT-01D suspension arms some time ago (http://www.rcmart.com/catalog/rc-tt0...th=595_744_708). I believe they came with droop adjustment. The kit included droop screws, stiffer lower arms (than the standard ones) with extra shock absorber mounting holes. The front/rear chassis extensions have special slots in them that fit small steel plates which contact the droop screws.

I have not really used droop control, because I run the C/F chassis and have adjusted the shock arms to give me ride a height of 4mm rear and 3mm front.

Your right, my bad, it was the TT-01D arm's not the TT-01E arm's that have droop. I forgot, but it was the TT-01D's parts that I tried; too soft to be effective so I just put the standard arms back.

What did you have to do to give you that ride height option for the TT-01?

Did you use the small steel plates that go into the chassis slots? The grub screws bottom out on these. I had to glue them in so I would not lose them on the track, but they were effective.
Without the steel plates the screws bottom out on the plastic which is no good indeed.

I screwed in the ball ends to get the required shock arm length and the required ride height. It is a bit of trial and error. You don't get any droop with this method, but with the very stiff setup that I have it is not much of an issue.

Alternatively, you could put a red rubber O-ring under the piston.

Anyone uses the stock 01 "racing slick" tyres? It doesn't come with any inserts, is it worthwhile to buy some inserts for it and perhaps do some bashing with it?
