It's almost 1500g. Using a VW Beetle body done up to look like Herbie doesn't help weight or aerodynamics either.

Ah, OK. I tried white springs in the front, but the dampers would stay fully extended because the low car weight. My car will hopefully be even lighter soon with a light weight body and a thinner paint job than my usual "let's just empty a can on this shell to get it done quickly" technique.

I'm quite surprised... I dropped a Speed Passion v3 17.5T in with a Reventon R ESC in blinky mode, and was able to clock 28mph. Now if I can only tame that on power oversteer...

Is it a sensored brushless? If not, there is your power delivery problem. I drove a 13.5t sensorless, plenty of power but too much punch. The brushed Cup Machine is easier to handle because power delivery is more smooth.

It's sensored, the car rolls freely, and I'm surprised it's that fast! With an FDR of 5.11 running a 17.5, I didn't think it'd reach such a speed. I tried a 13.5 in the car; it would get up to 35mph before the stock kit tires and poor aerodynamics of the Beetle couldn't handle the speed and the car would spin out. Guess I'll lower the gear ratio and enjoy the car for what it is, and leave the high performance to my other cars.

I have the plastic Tamiya ones, but for racing the stock non adjustables do well. These to me are more bling than function.

Question, will the TRF Short Works dampers work on the TT-01? If so, what will the ride height be and will there be enough travel on the dampers

We had/have a TT-01 class here that only allows Tamiya upgrades. All of the really fast guys are running the TRF short (M series) shocks. It's really the only way to get down to 5mm ride height.

Is there a number on those? They sell them in all lengths. 48mm, 50mm, 52mm.

I get them from TQ RC.

The number is there, 53792. They are 48mm as per the TT standard, but I want the axles sticking through the wheels to be long enough so I can place the wider wheel adapters, the little hex pieces locking axle rotation to the wheel.
