It's f-ing stupid, give it a rest who the hell cares about Guy hacking or Dave being the shiznit. This is supposed to be the T2 forum, not the lets hate on somebody thread. These boards are getting ridiculous.

Obviously they can't say some drivers were using solid topdeck....

Okay guys something T2 to talk about.

I am another FK05 to T2 newbie. I 've been holding out for a while because I've had the '05 since last October. Picked up some optional hubs and parts and had it dialed!

Other than options, I hardly replaced anything other than a plastic hub with stripped threads for the grub screw ann the plastic top bumper plate. Of course I had some crrashes but my driving became much improved and more consistent with greater speed. It was quite a change from the other cars I've had because I didn't have to do all the wrenching in between heats like I did before.

So a T2 finally showed up on the shelf at my local track. All the guys who have it say its dialed out of the box. Some even say that it doesn't need any options other than the battery strap. One even said that despite the fact that parts are not even available yet, no one has had a problem because no one has experienced a breakage of any kind. So I bought it despite my investment in the '05 with spares and spare car as well. Is it that good to be true? A totally dialed industructable car all you got to do is drive it out of the box?

If that is so, not only will I be carrying one car less to the track, my pit box just got a whole lot lighter.

IMO, no car is indestructible, something will break if you hit stuff. Breaking c-hubs and front knuckles is par of the normal r/c racing. We have 6 T2's at our track, all but one has broken a front knuckle and several the c-hubs, that's the fact and that's racing. Car is fast out of the box, that much is true. But indestructible? I think not.

Ok. we all know the car has some issues. The question is how do we fix them. One of mine is the car tweeks bad if it takes a hit. I know.. I know.. dont hit stuff but this does happen.. we are not pro drivers..

In order to fix this problem. Should I countersink the stock top deck? or just get the calandra one?

What have people been doing to fix this problem?

For all you tweakers,

If you hit something, just take off tires, place car on a flat board, loosen the top deck screws, get a friend to hold the top of the shock towers down so the chassis is flat, then re-tighten the screws, and re-assemble the wheels.

Go back to the track and pratice a better line as not to hit the same corner and have to start all over again.

a person i know bought countersink washers and put them on, instead of countersinking the deck itself, he never had any problems with it

Someone mentioned this about the car. He said it was fixed easily by just tightening all the screws on the car. He said after haveing done so the car untweeked itself. Sounded crazy but this came from one of the faster guys at my track so I couldn't really doubt him much.

The CRC top plate is a big help. You can counter sink the shock towers and the rear top plate, and the car car will be alot better. Just one mans opinion.

Parts are scarce right now, but I'm sure in a month or so all of us will have plenty of parts.

I've gotten parts from my local shop and I have parts coming from jbenthobbies and speedtech as well.
