Ghoppa,

I run 64p spur and pinion gears at Socal.

114/27 in stock with a monster= 7.05, sometimes I run a 26 pinion if the track is really tight.

114/32 in 19t with a reedy fire label motor = 6.0

I seems to me that watching what everybody dislikes is a slight toe issue which I average out what people have complained about to be around ten thousands of a inch. The gap on your spark plugs in your car are more than ten thousands. That is so nominal we need to forget that and move on. In some industries that is within standards unless your NASA. This isn't rocket science. Lets help Xray with their car to stay the best in the world, and dominate this year.

I agree with jbent. These are such small margins that i dont think its worth worrying about besides the car will only go a fast as you can drive it there are very few people that are perfect. XRAY 2006 Here we come.

I am a machinist. Used to work for the largest Boeing parts supplier there is. I now work for myself.

But you are correct. .010" is a very common tollerance. Nothing on an automobile is that close, except the riding components inside the engine.

I would say that overall, with the fits of the assembly of the T2 and other XRay cars, they are holding no more than .005" of tolerance. They are pretty nicely machined.

Just for reference, the average human hair is .003" thick. Same for a sheet of regular paper. So, the holes are only off a couple hairs... LOL

So the Jwerks and the PRS are the only 64 pitch spurs that fit without modification, correct?

ok guys the problem i see here is that people are not respecting others opinions and findings. what might not be important to one person might be very important to another.those of you badtalking each other shouldn't feel offended unless you're reaping the profits from the t2's being sold.let's help eachother resolve these issues wether it be fixing the car or getting a response for it's flaws if any.i'm more interested in learning more than arguing with someone i can't see.
