OK First impressions....
Works OK...BUT it is hard to make all cells connect, i had to basically take off the bent battery bars i use to solder the wire on....
When it made a good connection, you have to make sure it is inserted correctly, it has polarity, and will only work with 1 of the 2 polarity possibilities, which is annoying.
You have to set to voltmeter...look...if its the wrong way round you get some 0.00 and some e.ee, rotate it and works better.
When all cells are connected it works great!!!
Used it, then put on my 030a. lights were all dim and all went out immediately!!!
I like it, but PLEASE get rid of the clips, they are too weak, i am thinking of taking some elastic bands to make it a stronger connection.

Yes, it has polarity. Lightning use electronic components to discharge the battery, NO single resistor is used! That's why it has polarity, just like your speedo won't work if battery is reversed.
For the battery clip, try to bend it a bit before you plug the battery, it should work great.
Beware that if you use direct solder battery pack instead of banana plug, you should remove the first and the sixth battery clip and move one hole upward to get good connection.

Are you saying that you have to remove the endbars (the bent bars that you solder to) of a battery for it to fit?

i received my lightning tray this weekend to use. after cycling the pack and using the lightning the voltage of my battery went up .3v and i squeezed 600more mah into them! highly reccomended product.

i spend about 2 mins playing trying to get it to make proper contact with the cells. I find it easier to remove the end bars, yes.

I've been eyeing Brits new TeamWave, it looks quite nice the clips are a ???
but the device seems to work well once everything is connected.
I agree with JamesCam....once the clips are done I'll be ordering 1 or two.

The #1,#4,#6 battery clip can be repositioned. #1,#6 battery clip can change position easily by removing the front panel. Move to a position that best fit your battery. If you found the battery clip can not clamp the battery tight, try bent the clip a bit and it should be okay.
For easier insert of battery, we suggest insert the first (-ve pole) cell first and then rotate/slide down the rest one by one.

Works great tried it this weekend...
It worked great on my practice packs was able to get even more mah in and higher voltage...
My race packs are all dead shorted....so until I start racing Mod and more 19T I will continue with Dead shorting but I think all the new packs I use will be used on this devise.
Yes moving the clap in makes it work perfect.
I like the clips...makes for easy removal so it can be moved right to the charger...Heck I hooked up the charger and as I pulled the pack off the lightening I started the charge. No time for voltage to climb.
