servo jitter (nothing to do with the car!!!)
thanks all, a process of elimination sorted it eventually.
Different speedo, same problem, different receiver, same problem, different transmitter, same problem, even tried a different motor, same problem. guess what I tried last - a different crystal! and what was it, yes, the crystal.
Anyway, alls well that ends well - thanks for all the advice guys.
I've also set the car up a bit. Built to the manual spec I seemed to have bags of positive camber on the rear wheels - I've changed this to 1 degree negative and relocated the turnbuckle arms into the nearest hole to the wheel on the upper deck mount (MM1). I'm also using the C suspension mount on the rear to get some toe in.
Finally, I've fitted the RED front and rear stablizers....why? because they are red of course! May change to yellow after a run out.

Hey..anybody got an update on pricing info for the Surikarn?? I see a small drop in prices on ebay and the folks at Speedtech are quoting a guesstimate in the high 300's. Anybody find a decent price somewhere??

What's de difference in the white, and black outdrives?!
(besides color)
I was told, there was no difference.
But also, that the white outdrives, availbale for the F201 should fit?!

the white one are reinforced with glass fiber so it doesn't stripe...i am trying to get my hands on some cuz my diff always stirpps on the inside and it's annoying to always go buy them! also the 3mm chassis! and maybe the square upperdeck things (blue to match the unishaft dogbones)

I believe they are also a little heavier then the normal ones (I could be wrong just going by memory at the moment).
They also looked like they are machined rather then molded.

ball diff help
This is a problem I've had since day 1. I never thought it to be a problem untill I felt a friend's Diffs in the back (eeeyan's). But no matter what I do, my ball diffs in the rear are always so stiff.. Pretty much locked, but kinda not really. It's like when I turn one wheel in the back, that's the only wheel that will spin.. the other wheel doesn't go the other way, nor does the shaft turn.. any help anyone??

And what happens if you spin both wheels does that backe the drive shaft spin? (make sure the front wheels are off the ground/bench)
If it doesn't spin it maybe to loose.
You have put the Sping and the thrust bearing in?

I'm pretty sure the spring and thrust bearing is in there.. I remembered taking forever to get the bearing to fit in carefully.. all wheels spin when when I take both wheels and turn them. It doesn't feel like it's binding, just that it doesn't feel loose at all. But it's loose enough that when I aply brakes, The caar doesn't stop.. lol.. go figure.. hmm.. wierd..

AQuionIV - i'd open it up and rebuild with the manual next to you.
if its doing what you say and it also hard to turn it sounds like the balls aren't turning for some reason but then the shaft sound spin. i'm interested so let us know how you get on. if you've never rebuild it, its probibly about time to anyway

I just opened up my diff.. For some wierd reason, it looks like the Diff grease hardened on some of the balls, and made it look like it was covered in superglue. I had like 3 balls that's covered. I'm still tryin to razor one out at this moment.. Will update once I'm done=)
