I just bought a used TC7.1 and it came with the same top deck as the TC7.2 in the picture.

I just hope it comes with all the parts, cause my 7.1 was missing lots.

I made some balance tools and was impressed to see how well balanced the bare chassis was.

Without anything on it, I hope that's the case for all cars lol

Not necessarily. The battery and electronics don't always weight the same and aren't offset by the same amount.

Kinda what I was thinking... that car doesn't have axles, steering links, front hub bearings, sway bar, spring retainers, springs, nor any of the front bumper bits, etc, etc...

I will say that my TC7 was pretty much evenly balanced with all the gear (don't have a pic of though...) installed. Had to add, don't remember how much, a small weight to the left side of the car to get it balanced. I love my AE cars, not the flashiest but they work really well.

ae cars are pretty damn flashy in this generation lol. balance unloaded is pretty meaningless. get the guts in there and show us again. with the lCG and full mod setup the car was quite well balanced and only needed about 14 grams to complete it on the battery side, with the splus it will be different. id don't know if reedy plans to replace all their mod lineup with the splus generation motors but id expect whatever replaces the m3 to be similarly lightweight. I wonder if a smaller capacity, even ligher LCG battery will come about.. though if your running modified i suppose there is no reason you couldnt run the shorty packs which are lighter still. more weight bias adjustment potential.

Car is RTR at just over 1350g. All added weight is distributed evenly from right to left. You guys are gonna love the adjustable 7.2 battery mounting system!

Yes and the roll bar not being parallel to anything else on the car is equally impressive.

That looks to just be an optical illusion from the foam bumper/camera angle
