If you happen to be attending the Mile High Champs in Denver this weekend please stop by and check out the Rapide F1-16. The team will be fielding three f1 kits in their first large, high grip race...

Good luck! Keep us posted.

My kit arrived and went together with zero issues.
Carbon and aluminum is top notch.

Thanks for posting your setup.
My 1st weekend out with the car awarded me with a tq and win (local race/crc old carpet).
The car was very consistent from round to round and I had zero tweak issues or broken parts (and I hit..got hit more than a few times). I had to change a few things from the box setup to get it right for me...but got to say this car is fantastic.

Also this weekend I debuted the Roche Rapide F1-16 in ultra high grip in north america at the mile high champs. Car ran well for having no practice before hand. Took round 1 tq, and eventually qualified 4th. In the main I learned how to drive with rear wheel "locking" amounts of push brake to be in contention and take 3rd place overall.

I used only kit parts + Mon Tech F15 body + Mon Tech f1 wings + a lot of CA glue for my front tires. I cannot wait until the next race!

Getting the drag brake and push brake right really helps F1 cars. Battery position is also super critical. Another big help is the ABS setting in the radio.

That's great Mike.
Can you post your setup (oils, shims, gearing, ect)?
Will be nice to have a box setup on file for the new carpet.

I saw the video...car looked very fast and planted.

I think Mike would have had a chance to win the main if he would have been able to get around the guy in 3rd a little sooner. Overall the car looked great and Mike did an awsome job with it .

Thanks guys.. I only learned the right amount of push brake during the main warm up. I put myself into that spot... Oh well

I'll do a setup sheet sometime this week. Until then it is--
Front - 12 deg caster, 2.5 deg camber, kit spring, kit shims, green tube lube on king pin
Middle- set screw in floating steering, kit shock oil and spring, 15k kyosho in tubes, 1mm shim removed from front link Mount (not sure if this helped or not), kit side springs
Rear- shimmed axle 1.5mm wider on each side to help clear wtf3010 fan, kit spur (93t)

Glue up to front tire flat surface. 2/3 front sauce.

When I over sauced or my front tire glue was softer the car would get up on two wheels but not flip.
