New Ride Formula 1 tires
Hello everybody,
I feel that the new F1 Ride rears are not holding the grip very long. After 4 battery packs they loose their grip, and after the 7th pack they are nearly undrivable.
Unlike the old ones, which hold the grip forever and had much better overall tracktion.
I run them on carpet using CS high grip.
Any of you has the same Problem?
The new front tires are great, much better than the old ones.
Over all I have to say that the quality ist better as the old ones, but still not good. The trires are still very unbalanced.

I have used XR for two full races now. They are smaller diameter than R1. On the track the front XR are better than R1 and the rears, I would say, are the same. The XR are a bit better balanced than R1 but far from perfect. The best part is the XR rears do not tear as easy as R1. I had to glue the R1 every second run.
The balance of the tires is near the 571/572 shimizu with a little more understeer.
All this on carpet with LRP Carpet Grip 3.

Did you run the same set for the 2 races?

AT the meeting I ran at on carpet I ran the R1's and also Pit 575/575 combo and the prebuilt GRP's (the current control carpet F1 tyre for BRCA events)
The Rides were the slowest of the three, but only just.
This was on Prima carpet.

That sounds like dirt buildup... Make sure you use a cleaner that does not dry the tires, and wipe off the excess traction compound very well... Also, the carpet track will need to be vaccumed well every day to prevent buildup...
