Dude that’s sweet!

I’ve got one as well! With the M3 body! Painting a old 911 body for it as well as a Evo 8 body!

I am in the process of teaching myself to drift which is one of the big things I wanted to do, but after driving it a few times in my apartment complex I have resorted to taking the body off to drive it. All of this leads in to my actually question, I am sure in the many many pages of this thread its been stated but is there a way to increase ground clearance so that the body shell wont take chips and dings? I understand I run the risk of hitting a curb and what not, but I do not have the means to replace a 100 dollar body every couple of months just from normal driving. I would love to eventually have a rally style car but I don't think I understand enough of the terms to convert my current car, and the only 2 I can seem to find that are RTR are the Traxxsis rally and the up coming hpi wr8 flux any suggestions there?

Yes! Move up the body mount on the posts! Should yield you about 3 mil, depending on how much you move them up! Happy drifting sir!
Also! You can adjust your shocks to get more ground clearance!

Default Stripping Spur

I am having the worst time with spur gears. Is there an aftermarket solution? I am running a Castle sidewinder 3 with a 3800kv on 3S.

Default HPI CVD a little too short?

I am building one of these as a winter project. I am at the point of putting the suspension together and noticed that the HPI CVDs are a little short on the front.

Am I crazy? They swing shaft need to be a good bit longer to have the drive pins land in the middle of the cups.

If you go back to the early days of this thread. This was a common problem from day one. They would just pop out randomly during a turn. I took over a year for Hpi to make the upgrades available. I’m 99 percent sure these are what we all used.

This link was in a post. Around p3.

These are the HPI CVD shafts not the stock dog bones. The CVDs only list one size...

Saw that post. I read through the entire thread. Baffled me a little that the CVDs fit worse than the stock dog bones...

I never saw the Hpi upgrade. CudaCharger was the only one who held out. Problem was Hpi was in such a disastrous state by the time they got the upgrades out. Who knows how well quality control was.

They do not fit well at all. At full compression the pin is not in the cup at BDC. These are going in the rear and some Tamiya TA-05 46mm shafts are on the way.
