To run the side springs over the links do I need to shim up the chassis braces or just run as is?

I did run the car with the springs over the links some last season. I recall needing 4.0-4.25mm under the aluminum cross brace to space it up. As for the "effect", I would say that I was chasing something really small for black carpet. Because you locate the spring further away from the pivot, you need less spring. I went from a Roche White in the stock location to a CRC 45 over the link and felt nearly identical. What I felt it did though, was get deeper into the side spring and actually got a stiffer feel more into the throw.... if that makes any sense. At the time, I felt that increased exit steering. But it was only slight. It's not a huge "ah ha" change. I did run my cars that was at the last MHIC, 3rd in stock, so it didn't suck!

I'm looking to upgrade my P12 2016 to a 2017. I'm running on old gray rug and I want the carbon chassis. Does anyone carry the non-US spec 2017 any longer?

RocheRC USA has carbon plates and pieces still

Sorry, I believe I worded that poorly. I'm looking for a complete (non USA Spec) P12 2017 kit.

Would anyone recommend that I simply just run the US spec car? I ran the Roche aluminum chassis on my 2016 and much preferred the carbon chassis on our track. I'm guessing I'd prefer the carbon chassis on the new car as well?

High Velocity offers spool axles and are also stocking the new IRS direct drive axle. Axles are in stock and made right here in the USA.
