Hi John,
The mounting holes on the pro5 chassis are quite different from the TCXX's. We also offer following optional chassis as option parts.
2.0mm Aluminum Main Chassis
2.25mm Wide Carbon Chassis (92mm width)
Those two option chassis work really well especially on carpet. We normally use the kit std chassis for asphalt.
Thanks

Too much adjustment just allowed club racers to get 'lost' in setup.

You can find all part numbers in the manual at page 32

Had a first rollout on asphalt and the car was quite fast. I just changed to silver/silver HPI springs and played a little bit with the droop setting.
A 2.5 degrees block makes sense and should be the first option part for the Pro5.

Hi All
As the car is becoming available and I have a chance to grab one at a bargain, I spent some time analyzing the instructions... I was desperately searching for the "revolutionary" aspect of the car, but the only non-mainstream thing I could find was the camber link mount system.
Also disappointed by both servo and motor mount designs... A bit anti-climactic if you ask me.
Am I missing something?
Cheers
Paul

It's about as revolutionary as adding a '2' behind the title of a movie you're making a sequel for (i.e. Sharknado 2).
I guess that HPI/HB didn't like the name TCXXX, so they revived 'Pro 5' instead.

I would have loved to have missed something, actually... I have great memories of my first-gen cyclone years ago and was ready to maybe give the brand another go after years of xray and more recently yokomo... but that one I just don't feel connected with. I was hoping you guys would convince me. Curious to see what the commercial career of this car will be.

I wouldn't bother remaking it. I'd just buy the TCX battery mounts. What i'm wondering is if there are existing holes in the Pro5 chassis that I could mount them to. I'd hate to drill new holes...
