792g race ready, but for 1s 17.5 with an 8200 lipo. Body weighs 56g (regular version). Tires are uncut at 44mm, but don't think it will make much difference. Wow, it's a pig. Maybe a graphite chassis might be the way to go?

Mod car weighs in at 746g, but different servo, receiver and lightweight body.

Yeah, I was wondering about the body weight. 56g is pretty chunky.

I was over 800g a couple of weeks ago and am now down to 748. I've got a smaller servo, lightweight axle, and lightweight hub on the way that will get me right down to 730. We run fixed gearing so weight is everything.

As far as how I made 730. X12'21 with carbon graphite chassis and pod plates. 8200 R1 battery, Surpass V5R 21.5 motor, graphite spool rear axle, very light HW 1S Stock ESC, Sanwa servo. Tires are around 44mm right now.

What motor are you running? Dang though, you definitely cut some weight!!

I have a HW Justock 17.5 in it now (bought used came with car) which is 176g. The track/club uses a 17.5 Motiv which I'm thinking is lighter so will help bring weight down. No fixed gear though.

If it's a new Motiv MC4, should be around 146 grams.

Using our kitchen scale, I'm right at 750g. Roche P12G Evo (graphite/diff), HW XR10 1S + non-pol cap, Spektrum SR215, Sanwa servo, R1 8200, USGT 21.5, 16g wire, SJT rubber tires, fixed gear 72/56.

Running the Reedy 21.5 @ 176g. Was running the Roche aluminum chassis and a 60g body. You made the right move to get the new graphite chassis.

I went to a lighter 50.9g body, the graphite chassis and pod plate, 143g battery, lightweight hubs, lightweight spool axle, 2g lighter minimalist receiver holder, and the removal of every single thing that doesn't absolutely need to be there. I've got a 21 gram micro servo on the way and that should take me down to the 730's. It's extreme, but I'm enjoying the challenge and needless to say, the performance has been transformed.

When we made our rules for the class at the Gate we set the weight at 750 total and a 50g body weight min. This was to try and keep racers from feeling the need to go off the end on light weight parts and level the field a little. Some guys have trouble getting close to that.

You will never level a playing field simply because not all drivers are the same.

They are not trying to level the playing field of the drivers, they are trying to level the playing field of the cars.

Just thinking how we would level the playing field of the drivers and I'm thinking make the good drivers hold their transmitter behind their back and the great drivers have to drive with their feet!

You should be able to shave 12-15 grams by swapping to a titanium/aluminum screw set. I was able to get my Roche P12 2016 Graphite car in the 690's ready to run and that was even with a fairly heavy SMC 170 ESC. Had I gone HW Stock Spec 1s, it could have easily been in the 680's. Had no issues getting my CK25 to a similar weight with stock stainless steel hardware.

Minimum weight is 750g for the class I run, so I think I'll leave it alone.

I guess you never saw the japanese guy drive the car with his toes. As for lighting the car is still as good as the person driving it!
