That’s the problem, I’m the only one who runs team scream motors @ my local track... (Touring cars).. They usually come to me the few that do show up.. This is a new class at my track and I don’t run much 12th scale, so I figured someone on here could give me a starting point...
For rollout, motor and tire diameter are only part of the overall equation...
Hopefully then, someone will have a similar configuration to provide a starting point.

Simple is right. There's a lot that goes into calculating rollout even with these new rubber tires. Rollout on a...for instance...88x54 indoor track with ETS carpet will be different compared to 90x60 prepared asphalt track so the more information you can provide, the more people can help you.

For those running SJT tires on black carpet with a spool. Do you guys feel an aluminum chassis takes away too much grip?

Another gearing question. We run GT12 with a 21.5 1S battery, not 2s like many do. Does anyone have a starting roll out? Motiv MC2, medium bite black carpet on an 85x50 track.
For regular 1/12th I am usually at around a 78mm rollout on this track with a 17.5 Team Scream motor.
Thanks in advance!

Can't help as our track is bigger. what size tires? I start with 41mm but mine are alittle tall for some. Spur gears anywhere from a 68-72 - Pinions ??? You just have to experiment or ask some of the guys running that class. There are other things I've tried but - Bodies do make a difference some work and some don't. Chassis set-up is another.

Haven't tried spur gear changes in 17.5 yet but have with gt12...72 works better than 68 for me. Car just puts out faster laps with the 72. Tires are specs with 40s and below. My car hates anything with higher than 40mm tires

The Agate for me works ok. Ive been using Akura and blitz 60909. As for the Alum chassis I run the no flex CRC chassis both indoors and outdoors. Just got some new spurs to try but it will be awhile before I try them. I also run the CRC tires cut down.
As for the spur gears it really depends on the chassis. CRC car run anything while the Awesomatic 68-70- from what I've seen.

Decided to build a GT12... Here it's 1S 21.5 blinky open tires SXT sauce. They might come up with a spec tire, but for now, common 1/12 foams... Sanded epoxy concrete surface. Got gears to go from about 85 to 90 rollout. We'll see how that works.
