I run a FF03R in this class at 1300 grams race weight. It's a mid pack car. I've been tempted to buy a FF04 to get to that 1200g minimum but I went with an EXO 6 instead.

What oil your running in your FF? I'm using 300k and seems to be working fine. Also I'm running stabilizers front and rear. They are a must on FF

I am running 2.5 million in the front of my FF.

What also helped a lot is to adjust the ESC to the car.
Punch level to 1, so car is not as aggressive coming out of the corner, that reduced the wheel spin massivly for me.
Also PKW is set to mid/high range, so before you go full throttle car already has built the mechanical grip.
Also play with different springs. I'm running kit springs here which are actually meant for asphalt but they work quiet good on carpet too.

XV-01 4WD: 30k front, 10k rear
XV-01 RR w/ 4-wheel braking: 1k front, 30k rear
XV-01 FWD w/ part-time 4WD: 30k front, 2k rear
XV-01 FF: TA-06 rear spool in the front, nothing in the rear
I suppose I could use the bottle of 1M oil in the front diff on the XV-01 FF, or maybe the super-sticky OFNA diff-lock putty (which is about 500k, but has some kind of adhesive additive that makes it feel like glue), but a spool was easier and requires no maintenance.
I agree the rear swaybar is a necessity. The front swaybar, I dunno. I wouldn't use a front swaybar unless you're actually getting too much oversteer with only the rear swaybar, because the front swaybar will lift the inside front tire when accelerating out of a corner and allow wheelspin.
