No, that is not the correct information.
You learn the differenz when you buy them :p

I drive them all time in my TRF and have no problems since i know this from a club member. Also you can see the last years since i post setup I use this C-Hub in any setup on petrirc or on my youtube post

But the front XRay works BEST!

Unless you're running a TCS race, get the Exotek hub. They are great. If you are, order the hubs from the TA05.

Those two options are the way to go.

Raman 06-17-2017 03:31 PM

I'd caution against that.

The exotek hubs are great if you can gaurantee you're not going to hit anything or get hit.

I bent mine immediately because I do hit things. Tamiya sponsored driver at 702 also bent his real quick and he gets hit because of inexperienced drivers

Since I switched to the 51293 TA05 IFS standard ones, they stopped breaking. In fact Im now breaking the steering upright instead!

Also for those who switch to the IFS, I recommend the 54490 flange tube (4.5 x 3.5) for the top.. it saves you the hassle of putting in the spacer between the flange tube and steering upright.

Simmi I don't know what you are saying. I was pointing out to Stein that only a few posts prior, I asked about that exact same part number.

Not this one:
Tamiya - 54031 F-Teile (Radträger) verstärkt TRF416 - Modellbau-Seidel

This one
Tamiya - 51293 F-Teile (Radträger vorn) TA05-IFS, TB-03 - Modellbau-Seidel

To built them look in the manual TRF 416.

It mentions he used progressive SMJ's, I was wondering which progressives?

Most others I've seen used red. But I wouldn't be surprised if he was using the harder set(pink or purple) as well since he thought the Tamiya springs were too soft.
