Today my TB EVO 6 Black version arrived!! Me sooooo happy. hahaha! Will be a big change after driving a TB03 for several years!
Need to start building it and maybe order the exotek conversion!! This will be my competition car for next year!! So need to keep up with this thread after reading it back and forth!

I started both cars with this set up. Didn't touch the USGT car all day since it was working so well. Was having violent snap rolls with 17.5 and fought it half the day until I switched from sweeps to Jaco Blues. After that car handled very well with the changes that had been made.
Starting set up. For USGT
Shock positions fr-4. R-5
For 17.5 changes Dodge Dart body
76 spur 47 pinion
Front shocks RSD blue
1mm spacers under front pivot blocks
0 spacers under rear
1mm spacers on inner Ackerman steering linkage
3k diff fluid

Am just got both my cars hooked up with the TA05 front C hubs. I won't get a chance to run them on the track until November, but I like them better than stock already. The are a little snug, but have ZERO slop. The stock C hubs had a tremendous amount of play in then from the top hat bushings. Hopefully the TA06 hubs hold up to my driving skills. If not, the next step would be some modded X-Ray hubs.

The more larger hole C-hubs meant for the DCJ have a lot of slop. Seems Tamiya still has not fixed this. The 418 had the older style C-hubs (same as TA05 molded ones with smaller opening), and they are a lot less sloppy.

Yes for some reason the DCJ chubs use different diameter king pin collars (4.5/4.6). The bottom hole has tighter tolerances but the top hole has noticeable slop. I just lined the hole with some CA glue to remove some of the play.

How loud are you guys drive train? Mine is pretty loud compared to an Awesomatix. What can you do to make it quieter?
