Usually with Tamiya we get some CAD pictures early, but at the very latest next months Shizuoka Hobby Show where the car will be displayed for real.

= Extra weight + extra parts + extra friction. They're about 15 years too late with that layout; it was needed with brushed motors, but there's virtually zero torque steer with a stock brushless motor.

Even the mod drivers don't bother with this any more on the Awesomatix.

I can't wait to see the CAD images of this. It might finally be time to retire my EVO IV...

I was looking forward to this car coming out, but they lost me with this... I was once hooked on the blue crack, but now have gone to straight vodka. Hopefully they at least do something to get the FDR into the low-mid 3's without hacking it like the TB04...

Ohhh, anoher car is getting the tamiya bling treatment!

It says it used new dampers, with a short big bore...are those going to be different from the current short ones on the tb04 pro kit?

I think the floating front gear box on A700 is what makes it not torque steer mostly. Torque steer is also reduced simply by using brushless motor. The rotor has so much less rotational inertia compared to brushed. But I still notice slight torque steer when using 17.5. Hopefully the Evo 6 can have option to go longitudinal and horizontal on the motor.

If you can't be bothered to grind the one plastic part, just buy this:

http://www.exotekracing.com/tb04-stock-motor-adaptor/

$12 and TCS legal.

The fastest single lap at the TAMIYA America regional in gt3 was a tb04...he was around 3.20.
