I haven't run mine yet, but I did have an issue with binding when the plastic "shoe" was in the vertical position. It kept the arm from having needed up travel.

I removed about 3mm deep with of material to correct the issue. I don't think it will be a problem as I only run USGT and USVTA.

Thanks proffesor. I've just always wondered why other manufacturers haven't used swing shaft caps with their spools. I assumed the plastic cap would be a weak point

Just installed the Exotek conversion and I need some suggestions for gearing. I believe I will be running 64 pitch gears but if you guys have recommendations for 48 I'll take those as well. I realized that I have some spur gears that are too big to clear the top deck.

I'd like to see some pics of esc/motor wiring for the evo/exo's out there if possible. I'm struggling a bit with the esc orientation on my new Evo as it is a diff esc/wiring orientation from my existing one.

Looking for ideas

76spur/53pinion = 3.495 FDR

Using TB-03 gears instead of EVO 6 gears 2.438 instead of 2.5
I would like to try 48 pitch 60/42= 3.48
17.5 R1 motor

I'm encountering the same exact issue. Where are you shaving off the 3mm?
