Didn't realize they made a spacer specifically for that, I'll get one on order when you get them back in stock. Thanks for the heads up!

Can anyone tell if 6.2 front bumper brace can be installed on 6.1W?

Are you talking about the upper support or upper plate?

Neither will fit the 6.1 as the 6.2 bumper geometry is different from the 6.1.

Both parts in the pics are from R-Factor RC.

A big shout out to YoDog I ordered his battery mount and front bumper brace. When I went to put my car together the carbon fiber on the battery mount had some damage and was missing the hex spacers. Although I was a little disappointed I send him an email around 10:00 pm. I had a respionse within about 3 hours at 12:30 am. He shipped a replacement for the damaged part and a new battery mount the next day. He also shipped them priority mail and I had the parts In two days. He also threw an updated front bumper brace.
All I can say is great customer service and great products. Thanks again

Thanks for the 411, I was looking into converting a 6.1 bumper into a 6.2 style upper-floating support (the highest one) vs screwed to bulk head ala 6.1...so I guess there are no ready made parts available for that conversion...

There isn't any that I know of but maybe there is something I can do to help. PM me with what you have in mind and I'll see what can be done.
Cheers!

Glad to be of help. I hope you enjoy the parts.
This is just how I should hope to be treated when I buy something.
Happy racing!

And start all over after looking at the manuals it looks like the entire drive line is the same and about 90% of the plastics so if all I need is chassis /towers /aluminum then it might be a easy upgrade and I don't have to spend another
$1600 on cars but if not I guess it's time to go to the bank lmao one way or another I gotta have the new cars
I know this is a old post. I need to upgrade my tc6.1 to a tc6.2 chassis to use the new steering if possible?

Bulkheads, shocktower and chassis are completly different from a 6.1. Every aluminium part and carbon part has a different shape. There is no plug and play "upgrade". If you want a 6.2 steering happening in a 6.1 you have to get creative

Have you thought about using yodog's steering mod? I don't know if he still has any available but it may be easier on the wallet to try for now. I currently use one on one of my 6.1's and waiting on spare time to change another one of my 6.1's. Have not had any issues. I will see if I can post a pic shortly. Hope this helps.

Exotek also offers a dual bellcrank steering conversion for the 6.1, but so many revisions were made to the 6.2 that it really is worth the upgrade...

Reflex racing used to make a chassis conversion for the TC6.1 that introduced the dual Crank steering as well. I think it was like $120.00

I actually still have my old RSD6 converted car.

Ok bud,
I made a floating bumper top plate for the TC6/6.1 so that it is no longer a structual member of the front bulkheads like the TC6.2
It does however, butt up against the bulkheads so as not to break in a frontal impact.
I post an as installed picture later when I get home.
