Running 571/572 on carpet but not able to put power down. Car tracks straight but just looks like its spinning the wheels. What can I do to get car to transfer more weigth to the back under power.

before setup , you should check your tires. Do you clean them well before adding some additive ? what additive are you using ?

[QUOTE=SavageCanadian;14779785]hey guys so i have perfected the lipo holder part of the kit. The main piece is made from 3mm cf and the link mounts are pocketed to 2.5mm. Also added extra holds to widen the side links for different tuning option (this actually works very well). I thread the holds for the tweak screws so no more ugly blown out holes as well. Price on these 2 piece will be right around $50 for those interested. Uses the crc band to hold the lipo in, no more tape!!!

Nice work 👍👍👍
I've noticed you are using the rear pod from the 12 scale car... Can you pls provide us with some pictures of how you monter the wing. I can see a top carbon brace...

Sincerely
Marcus

Yes. I clean them as soon as the run is over by putting Sxt on a piece of blue towel and wipe them down then apply traction compound 1/2 to 1 hr before run.

The rear pod in my car isnt a 1/12 nor f1, its my own design using roche bulkheads. I will post up some pics of it for those interested in a bit.

Yeah the Roche F1 bulkheads fit right on. The shock mount plate is not quite the same location though.

So with this rear pod, I started with roche p10 bulkheads and went from there. The wing mount is just 2 pieces of cf and I used roche servo mounts I had sitting here. I wanted to run the WGTR rims on both my f1 and WGTR, with this I now can. It can also be used with a standard f1 axle as well. Front end isnt quite ready to be seen yet since its still a work in progress

Also the lipo holder kit is now for sale as well. Price on these 2 pieces is $55 shipped. Uses the crc band to hold the lipo in, no more tape!!! works for 16/17, anyone wanting one for a 15 pm me!

The chassis kits are available in 2 weeks but only in cf right now, aluminum will be available at the end of the month.

Running on the grey carpet and using sxt. It seems that what every I do to the rear end it still wants to pick up the in side wheel. Maybe I'm looking at the wrong end of the car and maybe should look at the front end?

Have you tried a softer side spring or going wider on the rear axle.

Yes I have tried soft to hard and back on the side spring with no difference and also light to heavy lube in the tubes with the same results as the springs. I have not played with axle width yet. I did check the balance of the car and it 50/50 side to side but it's 40/60 to the back.

Hey guys - brand new to F1 and Carpet racing. I am running on CRC black and glued up my tires to keep from rolling but now my car seems to be hopping through the corner, if that makes any sense. It doesn't seem to have the smoothness that I see others have. Anyone know what I am talking about or have any setup tips to try to get more speed in corners? Thanks!!!

I've been thinking of using the 12scale parts for my next build... Actually thought the 17 model would have had this rear end incorporated but they did not...
