On kentech blog it is written that the 418 suspension arm are the same lenght of short reversible, I don't think so.
Somebody knows more about this?

Also it looks like there is only one shock mounting hole on the arms , does anyone know the equivalent hole on the old arms 1,2,3 or 4

my main concern is if the 418 will be a decent car for carpet than the v5???

Craig it's Martin from California; you gonna make it out for Reedy again next year?

I saw the 418 for sale at a hobby shop when I was in Tokyo last week on our way back from the Tamiya World Championships. Rather pricey @ $750 though.

I can wait until they hit the US to purchase one. The V5 is a really good chassis and will keep me competitive until then:)

I'm sorry to tell you this, but when the 418 hits the US, your car will automatically be 3 tenths slower... proven fact! :D

Hey Guys,

I ran my 418 box stock this past weekend. with minimal testing the car is right on par if not slightly better then my Serpent that we have had lots of track time with!

We use sorex 28 on low to mid grip carpet.

My kit(s) came with extra suspension replacements

I may or may not have pre-ordered 2 kits.:sneaky:

The car was dialed and what was even more impressive was that you built it the night before!

Where exactly did you read that? In some translated Tamiya info it says "suspension arms of same dimensions". But I would not read into that that the length is exactly the same. I don't have the car yet so I cannot check lengths.
