Loving this car. At the half way mark of the season I am leading my class by 11 points, haven't finished lower than 3rd and been on the top step twice.

The odd thing is....the box setup is on fire....can't be touched. The minute I start tweaking a bit and make adjustments....I am all over the place and a second slower.

Will the Robinson Racing "PRO" Machined Spur Gear fit the 418? (Sorry, I'm not allowed to post the URL) What other brands are compatible?

The holes look like they are in the right place, but the 418 likes a "thin" spur, and I don't know how thin the RRP spur is.

Panaracer fit for sure. There are probably others referenced in the thread.

I raced my TRF418 recently which is still quite competitive as I was able to get into the A-main with it. I noticed that when the wheel turns left as shown in the attached image below, the inside of the wheel touches the edge of the suspension arm. It does this for both the left and right side. I'm going to assume that it's always been like this and I just didn't notice it until now. I don't think it's supposed to be like this and I'm pretty sure I did not assembly it wrong either. Has anyone else had this issue?

I t could be the wheel rim is very soft can flex....check your front C hub or spacer or king pin bushing is thicker at the top to help the clearance issued

Hey Franko, you got me thinking when you said check the C hub. I installed Exotek aluminum C hubs because the Tamiya ones always broke with the slightest tap on the wall. I switched back to the Tamiya hubs the wheels no longer touches the suspension arm when the wheels are turned left or right.

File the arms to get some clearance. It's being done even with the newest/latest kits

Ok it looks like this is normal if filing is required to get more clearance. I will file the arm down a bit and l put the exotek hubs back on then as they don't look bent after inspecting them.

Looking at that pic I will say your c hubs are bent.

I compared both C hubs side by side and they don't appear to be bent. I would imagine that if they were bent due to a hard crash that one hub would be more bent than the other. But they both look identical and both sides have the same amount of clearance between the arm and wheel.
