Yes, and it does not make any different.

The Best thing i have found so far to remove slop is,

0.1mm shims

Run a few coats of glue along the inside of the Micro Castor block where the bearing seats, then Push the bearing in, It should take alot of force and should reduce slop

Squeeze the ball cups to remove any excess play.

Drilling a hole and using a grub screw up against the Kingpin.

I would be very surprised if Schumacher dont come up with a fix for this on the next variation on the MI5 chassis. Seems to be something everyone is not happy with.

Had a look at both my cars tonight, and only one corner on one car had slightly more slop than the others... took that corner apart and had a close study of where it was coming from, and pinned it down to the lower bearing being a looser fit in the bottom of the left micro-castor block.
Rather than doing the CA trick, I just put a series of crossed-etches around the inside with a hobby knife, and straight away the fit of the bearing was much tighter, and the slop gone.

Interesting trick! Will try this the next time I build the car up!

I'm using 48p 74t spur/39t pinion at FDR 3.41 with speed passion motor. Not sure how V3 motor is different from mine(Mine is MMM but not sure if it's V2 or 3). 4.5 seems just way too high to me because I started at 4.2 and it was getting way behind the other guys with different motor. So I slowly crept my way up to 3.41. Maybe you run at very small track with short straight away. Mine is big sweeping outdoor asphalt track. But when I ran my car in a small carpet track, it was gaining top speed w/ no problem. I have to admit the torque was lacking a bit though. Maybe I should go back to 4.5 as you advised and give it a try

+1! I use the x-ray servo saver. I think it's the best one out there.
