car was setup as per manual except I used 2000wt diff oil in roll damper and first run noticed the rear would step out. Changed the side springs from silver to gold and the car was a lot better thru the sweepers. Used Shimizu 571 front and 575 rear and car TQ'd the 2 x 8min heats. Car if anything had some mid corner understeer.
Made a couple of changes for the 15min final and must say car wasn't as good. Went to Shimizu 572 rear and soft grease in roll damper and car just wouldn't rotate and kept skipping sideways. Admittedly, I could hear diff slipping from the drivers stand so that was not ideal.
One other thing that might help would be going back to the silver side spring but preload it at least 1 full turn. That will help stabilize the car, but it will still roll and maybe help your mid corner.

rc10tc By increasing the total shim stack like that preloading the spring you would have eliminated all the up-travel that is likely to cause the front end to bounce with a notchy feel.

The trf kingpins are long enough to place the springs below but the upper arm suspensions balls are not captive and rely on the springs to keep them in place.

Notes:
Close up of front suspension
Another close up of front suspension
Notes:
- Applied a small amount of loctite to all hardware attached to uprights.
- Replaced the silver 3x3mm grub screws with shorter black grub screws. This allows the 3x5mm low profile screw to fully set and not get scratched by the silver grub screw.
- This might be overkill, but I applied a small amount of Loctite to the 2x6mm screws that attach the king pin mounts to the front upper arm.

Notes:
Close up of chassis center
That pretty much covers the chassis build.
I still need to install electronics and prepare a body for this chassis...which will probably take a while
Notes:
- 3.5mm along with an o-ring were used in the pitch damper. I rebuilt the shock 4 times to get rear droop to be slightly below level with 3mm spacers under the middle brace's ball connector.
- Tamiya soft friction damper grease was used on the roll damper.

I still can't believe those are from a point-and-shoot.

Canon ghetto-cam taken from my iPhone.
The camera kinda sucks but Photoshop doesn't
It's a $0.32 piece of poster board

mtveten, I raised the front arms the same amount as the spacer so the spring is not being pre-loaded
