I ran my SP-1 using Solara's setup he had posted earlier. This was at the same carpet track him and RobK run.

As posted it works decent on medium bite carpet w/ Tamiya TCS tires. I was saucing the full front and it still pushes a bit going into corners.

A few notes:

Speed Passion SP-1
Speed Passion Reventon Pro 1.1
Speed Passion MMM 21.5
rear axle spacer: 1.5 inverted
ran less shims to bring the rear wheels inward
CRC white side springs

You can try lowering the amount of shims under the top front arms. As posted, his setup shows 1mm. When I removed them the car had a ton of steering and when at speed would flip over due to to much bite. Using the same tires I would go to 0.5mm or 0.0mm and glue the sidewalls.

Using his same setup with softer fronts might be perfect.

You may also need less camber as lowering the inner ball stud will give more camber change. 0.5* would be a good place to start. And glue never hurts....

The shim is just like the inner ball stud height for your camber link on a sedan. It is the ball stud mounted on the caster adjustment plate.

Kinda sorta...the camber link on most TCs are a single link with caster set by the C hub. On the SP-1 the upper link works more along the lines of the EV10 so lowering only the front ball stud will not only give you a different camber gain but will also give you more reactive caster.

The stock SP1 springs not good..? I am using that springs and have never try anything else...

One thing I know is the typical TC spring does not work as this shock is like a BIG BORE shock...need something a little bigger in diameter, and I am wondering what brands of the spring will work on SP1 too...

I ran my car on carpet for the first time, with pit 574/575. Fronts were glued on the sidewall. With no changes from the setup posted here earlier the car was really good. I wound up making a couple changes and it was really dialed.

>3mm spacer on steering rack

> 1* camber

>HPI Gold center spring #6826 (not from the pro4 set) 11.2 lb/200g

>No spacer under front ball stud on upper arm

I tried Pardus tires as well, but it's going to take more work than I had time for to get the car where it needs to be on Pardus. I have some ideas, but I need some more time at the track.
