I really liked how this car worked by the end of the day. I had someone with gear diff experience rebuild mine early on. It needed to be shimmed a bit to work properly. That was the first gear diff I'd ever built so I didn't know how to shim it. Once that was sorted out the car worked really good. I set it up using the basic T4 setup and by the end of the day I loved it. The Corally RDX, and Phi's I had previous were harder to set up to run this fast and when they were fast it was hard to drive consistently. This car was fast and easier to driver, and when I did over drive it and throw it in a corner too late it still kept itself in check when I cranked on the wheel. It might be a little soft on the front springs. The kit comes with 2.4's all around and I'd like to try something a bit stiffer in the front, but for the fist day out with this car I'd say it's well worth the price.
One thing that I'd suggest if you're like me and can't do a 6 minute race without stuffing it in a few corners would be to get a stiffer bumper for it. The bumper in the kit may be the softest foam used on an RC car bumper . I'm having one made up out of a harder material (thanks Martin).

Our indoor winter season is mostly over, but they're going to try to run some Sundays throughout the summer and I'll be getting out as much as I can. I'll have my second day on the track with the car this Sunday. There could be 3 other cars on the track with me Sunday. We run 17.5 blinky and boosted classes and I'll probably be running it in both classes to get more track time with it. From what I hear, they're selling fairly well so far.

Finally able to give mine a test run today with 13.5 blinky. I guessed a setup and the car was excellent. Had loads of front grip and the rear was mostly able to match it unless I threw the car hard into a corner. Track is outdoor asphalt and I'd rate it low-medium grip.
I'll play around with the settings a little to get the car a litte bit more balanced front vs rear but overall I'm very impressed. I normally run 17.5 boosted and I didn't have any timing to compare but the car drove as good as any of the others I have owned.
Good job CSO.

Simon

Yeah, the manual is not overly helpful when building the car. The gear diff is being fixed and you should be able to get a replacement gear to fix the problem soon. I haven't got my replacement yet, but mine is working good after someone shimmed it and got it working.
