I am impressed with the car, its better than the tt01, the next thing I will be testing on my blog is running the car with 17.5 spec class. The report should be ready soon. I think I have managed a gearing of 4.1 with 64dp, although I am waiting for a spur gear to arrive.

Maybe you have to drill the motormount slightly for little adjustment. with 64dp itīs either too close or too loose most of the time, for a good gear mesh. Eagle racing has already an Aluminum motor mount, but unfortunately itīs only the stock type up to now with the same mounting holes as the kit one... Let us know, how you mange to make it fit! Can anyone pleasevtell me a good esc, motor and servo combo for the ta06
|
Yep, I will let you know. What 64dp combo did you use for the spur / pinion to get 4:1

Hi again, I attached some of my calculation as pdf, hope this helps a bit. As explained, it does not fit too good with the kit motor plate. But with some drilling/adjustments it should work. |
Cheers, yep I'm going for the 80/50 combo my current 80t is worn so I have a new one coming in the post

This car really needs a "motor plate" which allows free selection of motor position.....

http://www.rcmart.com/yeah-racing-tt...e-p-36559.html Wondered whoīll be the first to manufacture this. Some days ago there were nearly no tuning parts for TT02 at RC-mart...:D Br and thanks for the info, Matthias |
hi guys,
New to on-road, and it seems this will be my first touring car, just wanna ask about the durability of it, is it good enough for a newbie like me (you know crashes, lol)? And also, aside from the bearings, what other upgrades will be more immediate? Shocks maybe? Are the stock plastic shocks good enough, are they oil shocks? Any other advice that i should know? Btw, will be using the stock motor at first. Thanks a lot for any help i can get. |

The only available upgrades from Tamiya from where you're from are bearings and the shocks (the stocks are friction not oil).

Here is a build and review I did, http://www.thercracer.com/2013/05/ta...nd-review.html but to answer your questions you only really need bearings to start off with. You can upgrade the shocks later the std friction shocks are fine for your first few races and they are indestructible :) |

My car finally arrived yesterday and i'm building the car at this moment.
The car looks great and it's a big improvement if you want to do some maintenance on the gears. This chassis was definately designed for buggy or rally purpose, this because of the limited gear ratio and i regrate that the body holes are pre drilled :( I've allready installed some universals with lightweight swing shafts, used some titanium or blue alu screws. So far i saved +30Gr of weight :) |
