I've ordered mine yesterday and very curious about it's performance, i will compare it with my TT-01R E-type.

After owning a TT01 for a long time the TT02 is better in every way. I will post another race update soon. Most importantly the speed gear set looks to allow you to fit your own spurs so some 17.5 suitable FDR's might be possible

61T spur and 28T pinion, hope someone could try, i think its possible =)

70T spur and 26 vs 68T and 26T pinion on silvercan doesnt make any much difference right?

It should give you some acceleration advantage in case of the 70T spur and with the 68T spur it should give you slightly more speed.

I've been reading your blog about the TT-02, what size of swing shaft did you use?
And i saw that it's possible to have a wide setup, is that with standard parts out of the box or are there modifications needed? Are there longer swing shafts needed for the wide conversion?
I've allready have the wheel outdrives and the cross joints but need to be sure about the length of the swing shafts in narrow and wide conversion.
So i'll be able to order the correct ones.

Wow, that's great news.....we don't have to use Tamiya spur.

This means potentially, one could put a really fast motor into it (e.g. 5.5T) and not worry about shredding the gears.....

Am I correct ?

Any chance the spur adapter will work on the TT01? For $7.50 I'm willing to get one to try, but I thought I'd ask here first. :)

The speed gear set for the TT02 you can already buy as single parts.
It´s the spur adapter from the TB03, a spacer sleeve, and a FF03 spur gear with 64T:

The spacer you can simply replace by 2 850 ball bearings or the metal bushings from the kit for the moment.
I´m using a spur gear from my TB03, in combination with an 28T module 0,6 pinion from my TT01.
That gives me 1:5,94 , and this weekend I will switch to 29T and 1:5,74, which is ideal for our CE4 spec rule and our track layouts.
I already tried some module 0,4 combinations, but problem is the fixed holes for the Motor plate It´s too tight or loose most of the time.
I hope some manufacturer will do an motor plate with slide holes soon.:nod:

How come not much interest in this car?

I guess it's still to early about the size of intrest in this car.
It's a kind of car that will be arround for many years to come but it will come when there are more positive comments about it's handling and comparing against the TT-01.
Mine should arrive in the next days and i look forward to campare it's handling between the TT-01E and this car.

Well it's relatively new with only the Ferrari 458 body now and the lancia delta later. I guess when they re-release the older bodies on this chassis more people will buy it just for the body alone. :)
