Would you be able to provide some basic directions and part numbers for the bumper mounted front body posts? I'm interested in trying it out.

I built my tt02 last night with the carrera body. I will be buying both versions of HPI rear rims(31mm) and test fit to get the correct width. I shouldnt have to use teh wider hub, but we will see.

I am using it for a 5 round "VTA/Scale Spec" series. I was pleasantly surprised to see the included sensored brushless/brushed esc w/ lipo cutoff!
Way to go Tamiya!

I'll get back to everyone about HPI vintage rims for the Carrera body. In my head, 1973 is Vintage!

Oh yes, and the new Tamiya Brushless Esc is great for stock racing, it handles a 17.5 (and a 13.5) really well :)

Glad i can be helpfull to get more tuning options for the TT-02 chassis ;)

For your information:
The HPI VTA rims on the Carrera RSR body:
26mm front and 31m(+6) for the rear

These fit great and dont rub the body while at it's lowest possible setting

Any suggestions to get stable rear end ?

I have TRF dampers kit.... but I dont know what color of the spring and how many holes in piston damper to use to achieve stable rear end.

I have 2.5 degree toe in aluminium rear upright .... my son number 1 prefer to use it , while my son number 2 is doing fine without it.

I would use the yellow spring (the one with the yellow end) I would also run the 3 holes and 400 or 450 weight oil).

Also play with your shock rebound, I would have 0 rebound and let the shock springs and oil do the work. Also mount the shock uppers on the inner shock mount.

In the front I would run the blue springs, on teh outer shock mount, same oil and rebound as rear.

Also check your toe on the front is quite neutral (0 degrees)

I'm Always running
Front:
450oil,3holes and Blue spring
Rear:
350 or 400, 3holes and yellow or red spring.
Make sure you have enough droop in the front&rear, especially for bumpy tracks.
This has to be done with spacers inside the damper.
Also Qatmix and i have done a conversion of the rear upper suspension arm and this makes the car more planted cause it allows you to give more camber settings for the rear.

There is also the chance that you have to much steering, to calm this down you can use anti wear grease in the front diff or thicker gear diff oils.

( I think our problem , i mixed up the front and rear spring combination .... front : yellow with 3 holes , and rear : blue with 2 holes )

That should be the problem, compared to the front rear damping is to hard.
Make the rear a bit softer and put the blue spring at the front and you must see a difference.

Tamiyablog is reporting the reveal of the 'TT-02 Type-S chassis kit 58600' at an upcoming hobby show...

Anyone have any insights, pics or links to share?

Plus there seems to be an accompanying titanium screw set...

The TT-01 Type ES was meant to be a more budget version of the Type E platform if memory serves, but with a titanium screw set being offered it sounds like this could be more race orientated perhaps?

I guess there will be some minor changes but we don't know yet what those changes will be.
Perhaps some ball bearings and some oil dampers would make the car more interesting.
Maybe there will be even colored parts like they did with the battery holder of the TT-02D version.
We'll just have to wait and see;)

I am hoping it is a TT-02 Sport and includes the ball bearings and other bling like oil filled shocks and maybe an aluminum shaft or other blue goodies.

The M05 S had silver plastics and also a range if the aluminium hop ups but in a special silver colour. Hopefully the TT02 S will be similar
