Anyone know if any buggy shells fit the tt02 to reduce dust going? I've seen lexan used under the tub but I'd assume drilling would be necessary...

The TT02 doesn't have holes in the tub, I think you are referring to the TT01. (Most just stuck a strip of plastic in the battery tray).

The TT02 is pretty dust proof

I've broken three uprights. Is there a way to reinforce this weak part?

How come they make them for the rear but not the front?

There are re-enforced A-Parts soon to be released, these should stop the uprights breaking.

I think the first few TT02's seemed to have a problem with the uprights breaking, maybe the first run of A-parts had a weekness? I have broken 1 since I got mine, and that was a large accident. However in nearly a year I think that is fine.

Then I suppose I'll wait for the upgraded parts.

Do you guys think the aluminum 2.5 degree hubs will make a big difference with driving and traction?

I would not upgrade the tt02 if you plan on racing.

I just bought the TT-02D version today to have those reinforced A-parts, i will install them on one of my other 2 TT-02 kits and it will be tested this wknd.
My youngest girl (10 years old) will be driving the car in a special junior heat, it will sure have his part of crashes but it's a good way to test the parts :)
Hope they are stronger then the Original kit parts.

When not racing my 418 I have race tuned the TT02 and can beat quite a few drivers with top end cars at my local club, I am faster with the TRF but the TT02 isn't embarrassing, less than 5% off the FTD with a car that's over 60% cheaper :)

And there is more to tap out of it..

when did you get yours and were you just doing small jumps? Im paranoid now taking mine to an off road track... though i guess maybe the tt02 was more of a local park run about r/c ?

Starting to get a little frustrated with the TT02 I'm setting up for my 8-year old. The problem is we are making this a waterproof rain car because we have so many cars (mostly Tamiya) that we wanted to try something different.

I replaced the stock servo saver and thought that would cure the car's tendency to not go straight.

But, I had the car out yesterday in the driveway testing it for my son and it still veers off course unexpectedly.

The problem is I want to KEEP the nylon and plastic parts! Maybe I'm asking for the impossible. I'll update if I can find some solutions. Maybe ball bearings that are really sealed from water. Or what about ceramic? Are they waterproof?

i think from stock it's always going to be uneven? Is is still not straight even after altering the trim? I upgraded to the adjustable tie rod.. seems to require less trim ..

Anyone have tips on reducing the tt02 to nose dive off jumps? Though im guessing the weight balance of the car is not made for off road jumps... maybe have to play raising the back more..

The stock car goes in a straight line, check your electrics. I have built 3 and all are fine, and go where you point them. The stock servo saver is not great, I would replace it with a 18mm servo saver from X-ray if you will get large knocks. Also don't put the foam under the servo horn as that can bind against the horn and if the servo is weak potentially stop it from centering.

Also check the steering assembly is not over-tightened it should move freely when no servo is attached under its own weight.

As to jumping it, not a lot you can do to change the balance, although if you keep on the throttle it will help keep the nose up when in the air.

I always wondered the purpose of the foam under the horn (maybe to prevent debris from laying under there)... i will check that out too!

Thanks for the reply. My TT01 is great also, so I'll go back over the TT02 looking for problem areas. It is basically acting like the servo saver is still bad but I have a metal TRF servo saver on it.
