No, I couldn’t find one that was 28T.
I bought one from eBay.
Forum won’t allow me to post the link, but the item number is 274341095112

I’ve got it to fit nicely, but it sounds awful!
Like a sort of grinding sound. Previously it was nice and quiet, but after fitting these bits, it’s very loud. Is that normal, or have I done something wrong?

I have greased the gears too.
The Tamiya aspur gear (Module 0,6) does not match the 48dp pinion.
If you convert 48 dp into the metrical system you will have module 0,53. (1/48*25,4)
Vice versa: module 0,6 is more equivalent to 42dp.
The result of the combination with real module 0,6 is not smoooth, but "pepper mill"

I can't see what the difference is with that pinion compared to the one I've purchased, unless it's just the coating?

Tamiya 64T spur gear is Module 0,6
Your pinion ist 48dp Module
Kremzeek's pinion is Module 0,6.
48 dp does not match Module 0,6 (see posts above), layout shape and size of tooth is different
Okay?

I'm new to all this stuff, so the above doesn't make much sense to me, apart from the fact it seems I've bought the wrong pinion?

Thanks

Trying to find the Tamiya 28T pinion in the UK seems impossible.

Would this work:

Thanks

Are the SR Kit springs softer than the red springs?

Robinson Racing sells the Tamiya compatible pinions in .6 module.

Tamiya uses it's own proprietary gears, in .4 and .6 module which looks like 64P and 48P but isn't.

If you use the Tamiya high speed gear set (TAM54500) but do not use the included Tamiya spur gear from the kit, you can use traditional 48P or 64P spur and pinion gears. This option would give you the most flexibility on gearing.

Yes, It's mod 6 with a 3.2mm bore (1/8"). Most motor shafts are 1/8" Standard.

If they're the same as the ones in the RR kit then they're quite a bit softer than the red springs.
