In that case, the stock tt02s probably is still 2.5deg rear toe as my rear toe plate looks the same as the ones from the earlier kits.
I didn't find any real improvement from using the low friction step screws as far as steering slop is concerned. Might as well get the ball raced aluminium parts next time

So true but sadly people still buy them under the impression they make the car stronger. Give me good old plastic any day of the week.

Super glue on the outside front tire sidewall or the on the outside edge of the front tread. Try it with some old tires first

Hello All,
Been awhile since I last ran the TT02 as well as posted, the late part of the summer got a little crazy and I lost one of my best friends to cancer a couple weeks ago.....That was rough as he was my first contemporary that I have lost but he is in a better place.
With that said I spent some time with the TT02 this week. I gave the chassis a good cleaning (it was filthy and was causing some sticking in suspension arms) and refilled the shocks, the CVA's had leaked enough that the pistons were sucking air at full stroke. I also got a set of the Tamiya short TC springs. On my make shift track (dusty tennis court using field markers) I feel like I am battling some heavy oversteer. I think on turn exit I was just being a little ham fisted with the throttle but I also had oversteer during steady throttle sweepers and under braking. I was running the standard silver springs from the friction shocks on the front and the stock springs that come with the Super Mini CVA's (Yellow I believe) on the rear. I have not run it yet but I have gone with the red (soft) in the rear and blue (stiff) in the front. Both sets of springs are softer than what I had in there, the yellow spring that were include in teh TC spring kit feel softer than the yellow springs that came with the shocks but I may be wrong there. I hope to get a pack or two in tonight to see if it made any difference. If that does not work I will address the shocks and go softer in the rear, right now I am running the two hole pistons with 40wt oil.
Now that the little man is back in school my schedule has eased up a lot so the car should see a lot more running time.
Cheers,
Jim

Alright...I ran a half a pack through the TT02 last night, a couple came and wanted to play tennis :-(. I have to say that there has been a noticeable improvement in stability in the sweeper.
It is also funny after not running it for a few weeks how my brain/finger was more receptive to trying different driving styles. In the past I seemed to be using the "fast into the corner" mentality which usually meant I would have to coast or lift mid turn which of course unsettles the chassis. Last night I was showing some restraint with corner entry speed which allowed me to power through the corner which made a world of difference.....actually at times this technique resulted in understeer which I have not really experienced before.
Last night I downloaded an app called RC Timing. I played around with in the house and it seems to work. It uses the camera to detect color differences and even through it says that white is a hard color to pick up it seemed to work. I am hoping to get to use it for real tonight and will report back. This will be awesome for someone like me who likes to do hot laps but does not have easy access to a track with a timing system.
Cheers,
Jim
