TF-5 springs...
Can someone please tell me what kinds of springs I have here? The first springs on the left are silver, while the third one has a gold tint to it. The last ones on the right are silver with a bit of light blue paint on the bottom...
Or is there some kind of Kyosho on-road spring chart somewhere?

Here's my ASPHALT RUBBER TIRE setup for the SHIN VERSION from this past weekends Summer Sizzler:
Front
Camber link: Hole 1 with 2.5mm spacer
Shock on tower: Hole 1
Shock on arm: Hole 2
Front suspension block: A w/0mm under
Rear suspension block: In C w/1mm under
Droop: 2mm of lift
Wheelbase: 2mm in front 1mm in rear
Diff height: A w/Spool
Ackerman: middle chassis and top plate block w/forward B in wiper. 1mm under balls on wiper. Outer balls upside down and in back hole on knuckle.
Ride height: 5mm
Toe: 0 deg
Camber: -1.5 per side
Sway bar: 1.3mm with 0mm sticking out
Shock: 3B piston with 500wt Kyosho oil and Xray 2.8 spring. Kit diaphram without the pressure foam. 62mm overall length with 0 percent rebound.
Rear
Camber link: Hole 1 with 1.5mm spacer. Hole 1 on hub w/0 spacers

tf-5 readyset
Hi guys, I am off work for 3 months due to a motorcycle crash and am looking at doing a little indoor carpet racing when I am able to move around. Nothing too serious, I am mostly looking to get out of the house. How is the tf5 readyset? I would hope to pull the receiver out and put a spektrum in that I already have. Would this car be decent to practice on and to do some club racing?? Are the wheels standard mounting so I could get some foams for it?? Thank you in advance!!

Hi guys i run a shin, but find it quite fragile, the spool's finally had enough and now just running a one-way but i guess for 540 i can live without a spool, however i've gone through all my spare knuckles and can't source any ... anyone got ideas on best place to buy from?

R/C champ in japan will have them or get them , give them an email the service is awsome and they are very nice people to deal with, also shipping is cheap.
for 540 you probably should be running a oneway to keep corner speed up, i run a shin in mod and 10.5 and the spool is really the only weak part, but that can be fixed by using TOP spool sleeves over the out drives so they dont spread apart, look on the TOP web site and youll see them

Spur is the stock 68T - now what size pinion gear would you suggest for it?
Have 20T, 24T and 31T (and the stock 38T).
Have a race coming tomorrow and it looks like the 24T is pretty okay. Seems like the 31T is too tall and the motor does not accelerate well...it kinda goes back and forth.. Accelaration looks good with the 24T, slightly worried of the top speed since the track is quite large...
Any experince anyone? Help much appreciated.

it was medium size carpet track with very good grip, motor is 17T brushless Team Orion combo (don't know the exact model but it's a rather new one)
During the race day I tried out 24,26,27 and 31 pinions and settled with the 26T eventually. It was a rather good combination of acceleration and top speed and gave me the best lap times. Not sure but I calculated final gear ratio of something like 6.5 with that 26T pinion.

Yeah, readyset 48 pitch gears. So it is 68/26 x 2.5 = 6.5

Scrad is right. Regardless of the pitch of your gears, your final drive ratio should be around 4.2 with a 17.5 motor. It also matters what speed control and battery you're running. The different speed control settings will determine a lot! Believe me, you will not be disappointed with the Shin version of the Stalion! Check out my setups above when you do get one.

I'm confused, the readysets come with a 27T brushed motor combo. Did you get a brushless system on top of that ?
