If your using the stock towers, shocks, springs, etc... Then you'll be able to acheive 5mm or lower ride heights without problem. But if you switch to the graphite plate shock towers, and switch to TRF shocks, then you'll start to have problems with the tall tamiya springs. An example of a tall Tamiya spring is the Yellow springs that come with TRF shocks.

You'll be fine with the standard size springs if you buy the 1mm down retainer for the TRF shocks. I can get my car to about 3mm front and back with rubber tires, not that I would ever run it that low.

Default Pictures Web Sites

Are there any other web sites to look for pictures of the TA05R car and info on parts and set up or is this the best place for that type of information?

That is very very interesting.....never own Tamiya before but always saw factory drivers using some HPI parts for the 415 @ some big race and called those Prototype options.............good to know that I can use some HPI parts that can be purchased locally...

Does anyone know, apart from Speedtech and direct from PenguinRC, who else stocks the PenguinRC P2020 Performance Chassis for the '05?

Does anyone here have experience setting up a TA05 with the Trinity Co27 Pro motor? I am looking for a good starting point for the gearing and suggestions on the springs and brushes for races.

Yeah, I can't seem to get in touch with Speedtech, sent a couple of emails and a PM, no joy. According to their website they're out of stock anyways.
