Bad news for us Mamba Max owners. The esc is too large to fit in the stock chassis. . Now I'll have to use it in my TA04. Which car to race now???

thats one of the downside of tao5. limited space for esc. I mount my novak c2 on its side just to fit on the chasis..

It's too long from what I see. I might have to get the 3 racing chassis just to use it. That's not a bad thing either.

It's Kawada, not Kawahara...

If you can wait up, I would suggest you wait a bit to see Tamiya's CF chassis. If you can't, than you need to pick 3rd party CF chassis based on where you race, asphalt or carpet. There are different CF chassis suitable for different surface.

I`ve run the car stock chassis , graphite tub and Xenon. The car was not any faster with the Xenon. The one thing that made the car smoke around the track was to preheat my cells in a heating pad to 100 deg , before charging them. WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey slot, Do you mean it actually started to smoke or Smoke, as in fast?? Those cf plate chassis are just eye candy for the TA05. This car is ready to go with minimal adjustments--Al

I know for a fact that my 3Racing chassis is good for a second a lap over the stock chassis, it is lighter, stiffer and gives better electronics placement. The reason I never went for any other conversions is that it meant using the stock chassis braces at the front and rear, plus they included far to many spacers, which only add to flexibility rather than stiffness.
