I think with the 42mm bones, it might look okay at ride height, but the bones might slide out a bit further towards the outter edge of the oudrives when the suspension compress.

Hi Guys,

Just want to post a quick note that we got some new TA05 hop-ups in stock (limited in quantity for now, more coming soon):

Tamiya Aluminum Damper Retainer (1mm down type)

Tamiya TA05 Front Direct coupling (spool)

Xenon Racing TA05 Alum. upper bulkhead

Also, most of the spare parts should be back in stock as well

Is anyone else having trouble getting to the SpeedTech site, or is it just me?

Now I have seen the pic you posted on here and on RCZone of your thrust bearing. I have no idea how you did that. I've never had that kind of trouble. Even when running on carpet/foams. Did you build the diff according to the instructions? Tons of grease in the thrust bearing? Or no grease? Too tight of a diff?
I built the diff exactely according to the instructions wiht lots of grease. I think it was just bad materials in the assembly. I was only running a stock motor with rubber tires. The diffs were just tight enough not to slip. I rigged up a temporary unit using Team Associated parts for now.

anyone here tried the CF battery holder plate? i found that it's designed for stick pack only and for side by side packs you need to modify it because it sits lower.

Just re-shim the battery holder posts to get it lower.

hmm, even without the shims it still sits higher... sorry just realized maybe i put it in the wrong words...
without the shim, the plate will sit on top of the battery nicely. but the hole for the clip is in a higher position, not directly on top of the plate... got a few mm gap. so it can't lock the battery down. well i can always put some spacers on top of the plate but i just find this pretty annoying...

I dremmelled abut 4mm off the top of the batt post mounting rib. This lowers the batt post, and you can then snugly hold your cells in place.

that's what I did too
it just confused me why tamiya didn't release something for side by side pack while they have the space to put the battery that way...

Default another why.....

Why is Tamiya not releasing a carbon graphite (fibre) chassis set for the TA05 when you see other manufacturers releasing them????? Got to be TCS legal here
