Is anyone else having trouble getting to the SpeedTech site, or is it just me?
I built the diff exactely according to the instructions wiht lots of grease. I think it was just bad materials in the assembly. I was only running a stock motor with rubber tires. The diffs were just tight enough not to slip. I rigged up a temporary unit using Team Associated parts for now.
Now I have seen the pic you posted on here and on RCZone of your thrust bearing. I have no idea how you did that. I've never had that kind of trouble. Even when running on carpet/foams. Did you build the diff according to the instructions? Tons of grease in the thrust bearing? Or no grease? Too tight of a diff?

Does Tamiya make a wider front bumper and foam for the car?
#2395
anyone here tried the CF battery holder plate? i found that it's designed for stick pack only and for side by side packs you need to modify it because it sits lower.
#2396
Just re-shim the battery holder posts to get it lower.

without the shim, the plate will sit on top of the battery nicely. but the hole for the clip is in a higher position, not directly on top of the plate... got a few mm gap. so it can't lock the battery down. well i can always put some spacers on top of the plate but i just find this pretty annoying...

it just confused me why tamiya didn't release something for side by side pack while they have the space to put the battery that way...

another why.....
Why is Tamiya not releasing a carbon graphite (fibre) chassis set for the TA05 when you see other manufacturers releasing them????? Got to be TCS legal here
