The slots/holes in those are made to just fit around 8-32nd screws so they are too wide for the lower 4-40 screws and too narrow for going around the plastic lip on the bottom of the suspension arm. You might be able to widen the holes to use under the suspension arm but I'm not sure how viable it is to do that.

I didn't expect much from it but it's testing at the specs and is centering good. We'll see how long it lasts.

Wow that's a nice little servo. If the stats hold up that's .07s at 98oz/in! I may have to look into one of those myself!

Does anyone know of a link or able to tell me what degree when adding shims to the front arms
So 0 shims = 1.2degrees and 1 shim = blah blah

I'm gonna have to try that servo too ...nice find .
I've been trying to find the "recommended " servo the srg-hr but that's impossible to find? Rcmart has been out of stock for months and I cannot find it anywhere else .....redrc article says its the best 12 scale servo but nobody sells it lol idk sometimes I just gotta shake my head and laugh.

Also what are the stats on the side of the package of that servo....lrp and red rc site is saying 7sec and 5 sec.......and theres one on ebay that shows the box and it says 8 seconds and 10 seconds????? whcih one is it...or are there 2 different srg-hr sanwa 12 scale servos

Not really a strong servo at all but adequate to steer a 1/12th pan car IMO.
I'm a sucker always looking for the perfect cheap servo LOL.
I also picked up one of these and might use it to replace the Futaba s132H in my Associated 1/12th car.
It's the same size as the 212 but specs out much stronger and has an all-alloy case for cooling. It's a bit heavier too but only by several grams. 2.5kg-cm @4.8v = 35 oz-in.
As a side note, these servos are all too fast for me and even on 4-cell (or 1s) I will likely have to turn down the expo on the steering. I got used to the Hitec HS81 in my Trinity MCR but find that I could use just a bit faster than that. The Hitec is a durable servo though and has never given me a problem.

Ah...I guess the unit converter site I went to didn't do the conversion right.
As for the HiTec...you've been lucky. I've seen far too many of their servos fail and have centering issues to even consider them.

The conversion is approx. 14 oz-in per kg-cm. 1.1 kg-cm @ 4.8v equates to only 15.4 oz-in.
Not really a strong servo at all but adequate to steer a 1/12th pan car IMO.

Will a servo saver fit that Turnigy servo? I bought this one and the servo shaft is a lot smaller than the standard.

I hadn't noticed that. I guess I will have to use it on one of my aircraft if I can't find a servo saver that fits.
