Myron,

The shirt are done! Even an odd black t-shirt not sure how that got past me.....

We will be sending them down in the next day or two.

I hope everyone likes them and has a great time at the race. I wish I could make it down but work gets in the way of play.

You will remove the motor. You the owner take apart the motor. They test the stator. Verify legal rotor. You then assemble the motor in front of the tech person. You hand them back the motor. They apply a tamper proof sticker on the can and end bell area. They then apply something over the screw to fill the head. Magic you Passed tech. Your motor will be tamper proof proving you thus have a legal motor.

My VTA has the older Novak 25.5 motor in it. I don't know if this one comes apart. I have never taken one of these motors apart.

Then your disqualified........No I'm not up to date on my Novak motors but I'm sure there is a way to test it and if you have any issues I am sure someone will be more than happy to help. I won't be there till Saturday morning but if someone needs help tearing down and assembling at tech I will be more than happy to help.

As far as teching batteries goes, is it going to be just like ROAR where somebody checks the volts on your battery prior to each race?

All motors should come apart. I see from the photo that there are 3 screw heads on the shaft end. Removal of those screws is all that is needed to take motor apart.

yes thats how we did it last year...but I will say this...with this many ppl in a 3 day race...if we have to send you back for over-charging, Dirla may or may not wait for you...so if your charger goes to 8.5 or higher, you should make the adjustment to stay in the 8.4 range
