I think the drive pins on the HPI dogbones are larger than the Yokomo ones, with the Yokomo you already start out with slop, and it builds more quickly.

yes...the hpi pins are larger than the stock yok's. converting over to the Rayspeed MIPS w/ TC4 HD bones as soon as parts arrive.

I'm just going to go back to the Yokomo outdrives, I think I may have just gotten a bad pair after seeing other people's holding up just fine.

Has anyone had any problems with the car tweeking as you build it? I have built it but its now got 1mm more preload on the right rear shock than the left shock just to achieve a 5.5mm ride height on each side. Anyone else had this?

No, thats weird, have you double checked that the shock lengths are the same and that the shocks are in the same positions left and right?

Hi Guys,

Just a quick update on the BD spools. Our drawings have been finalized, and it will go into production this week. Our manufacture is light on production runs in the next few weeks so hopefully we can have it turn around very quickly (by the end of the month at the earliest)

Be careful with the shock towers, they can move very slightly while you're screwing them down. Loosen all the shock tower screws and push down on it slightly as you tighten them all back up.

I countersunk my 415MS and it actually caused a lot of stuff to tweak, so I'm just going to leave this car how it is just to be sure.

It is impossiable the shock tower screw hole vacancy can move 1mm.

You're right, there's not alot of play at all, but there is some. And when you figure in the whole leverage thing since the shocks are mounted further out and then the same distance one goes up the other comes down, then you'll get a noticeable differance

Beautiful fit and finish! I hope that it drives as well as it looks.

Everything went together without a hitch. Thanks to the misfortune of some, I remembered not to cut the little tabs off of the Belt Tension Adjusting Cams.

Took me about 5 hours to complete.

The only part of the instructions that wasn't clear, was determining which direction the Spur Gear assembly is supposed to fit into the mount???

I love the new arms!!! Trapping the outter hinge pin was a great idea, over using two screws. And the self tapping screws are much easier to install.

I still need to install the battery trays. Again, I'll benefit from Matt Howard's previous post, and use Shoo Goo to mount my batter trays.

Hey Randy,
Maybe you should take it easy on those delrin diffs.... Sheesh.
I have gotten about twenty through it so far and no such wear.
Well maybe because I only ran stock so far, and we're you using the larger bones? I am using the Rayspeed rear bones and there is no real issue with slop. Things seem to work just right.
I am going to focus on the next JBRL race and the KO Gran Prix for now. I think I have a real good base for 4Fun but I have never ran @ Tamyia so if you get a good 19T base setup for there please share.
