Hey guys i just wanna ask what cvds are you running in your bd becuase i still got the stock universels and they loose pins and snap

Just get the hardened steel universals. The TC4's will just cause you headaches.

my bd click on the right side i think its the outdrive bearing makign the noise anyone else have this problem?

all you need to do is turn the wheel all the way and you can see the cvd pin and set screw, if the pin is sticking out more on one side, loosen the screw push the pin back in and tighten the screw, btw, a little mip lock tight works wonders. a drop of oil wouldn't hurt every so often either.
and a little side info,
yesterday we ran a 12 hour enduro race with tamiya mini coopers what a blast.
total laps 2803. well that was the winning laps, our team only managed 2700 and something.

hello all,
have not been here in a good while ( 5 month break)
the purpose of this is to try & figure out wich car to go for either BD or LCG.
i have had the bd before & was quite comftable with the car, but i am thinking about the lcg also. either way as long as it's yokomo
please help me decide.

Simple answer is to get both
Hard answer is that shaft can be better for stock, belt for mod. To make things more confusing, this year the stock class at the australian nationals was won with a BD..

yes i know mr. ellis well
i will mainly be running stock, but i think mod could be on the cards with a big race meet that is coming up in the middle of the year.
i was running the BD before in stock & again was happy with the car.
but i also looking at the lcg.... either way it is sure to have lots of excel pretty bits on it.

I race 19t and practice w/ mod mostly and I've owned both LCG and BD
1. I like the BD's braking abilities over the LCG
2. I like the LCG's direct feel on acceleration.
3. The BD has more tuning options with the transmission.
4. The LCG has a more free tranny and should equal slightly faster times in stock.
Basically, they are the same car with different tranny styles. I favor the BD a little more b/c the slack in the belt puts a little less stress on the cvd's during a wreck. So I'd suggest the BD over the LCG (but not by much).
