For those of you running a platinum 4800 - how are you secureing the battery in the chasis?

I tape mine in and am having some spillage issues, I am sure that if I stay off the pipes that it would stay just fine with tape alone but I am not that good.

I am going to try the nexus weights. Do you guys have suggestions for a more dense weight to balance the car out?

Duct tape, or wire ties,Works for full sale.

You could making some velcro straps.

I use the TrakPower, so pretty much same size

I double tape my batts in (meaning I get one thing of tape on, and then another) and it REALLY keeps in the batts, they dont even move at all, and since its doubled up, it wont rip You just need good tape

Use some spare plastic servo posts, put 2 down the centre where the exiting holes are to keep the pack straight, and drill a hole for a 3rd on infront of the battery pack. These will stop the pack from moving around and relieve the stress on the tape in a crash, worked a treat for me.

I've seen some drivers use velcro on the bottom of the battery - as well as on the chassis and then taping the battery in. Might be an option to try before having the drill holes, etc.
