The unsymetrical upper deck that they just released is simply an ad hoc bug fix, which doesn't really resolve the problem for securing lipo packs. What are they thinking? Now I feel like I am at an disadvantage driving a Cyclone. I truly hope HB will come out with a more thoughtful solution very soon. Is it really that difficult?
When I had my first Pro 4 since 7-8 yrs ago, they took a lot of test before release the car, that's why they got really good suspension geometry. As we knew when the Cyclone came out, it still keep using all the suspension part from Pro 4 with really good sucess even yrs after they have new TC ver. So, IMO, just be patient and positive, I do belive they will release something new later that works great not only for Lipo friendly but probably something else too which I don't know yet since I'm not sponsored either.

Scott, I just want to say you did a fantastic job representing your sponsor. I am sure many potential customers will see the thread, and your posts.

I see absolutely nothing wrong with Scott's posts...Just because he's sponsored doesn't mean he cannot define his sponsor's products when they are being attached...

Actually, the opinions of Scott probably went up BECAUSE he defined their product

hmmmm, guess you really 'fixed' him, huh?

its not that he was whining about the car being lipo-friendly, he wants a car that had a better way to secure the battery pack - because he seems to crash alot

everyone else knows, HPI/HB will release the lipo-friendly chassis when it passed all the tests

Exclamation

Korey,

Are you running a cut Middle Deck ?
If so, how much difference did it make for you ?

I had my TC out today with a complete new setup based primarily on Hara's with a few custom changes of my own based on my recent bedtime reading on setup theory. The initial setup worked quite well and got even better when I lowered the rear RC a bit.

Cheers

What and give away my fortune to be made! Actually i figured since every one seem seems to be moving the pack out a little anyway I would just make room for the reciever on the battery side under the top deck and widen the chassis just a touch on both sides. The motor already hangs out almost to the tire so i would think moving the battery out just a little might help the balance. My original thought was to stand the servo up 1/8 scale style on the battery side but that might be a bit much. I also want to eliminate the battery slots so the flex is even side to side. Just mill out a pocket for the pack.
