Will a Tamiya sports tune motor (black can) be ok for the car or will it be too quick since its a 23t with recommended 6.0-6.5 FDR on a TC

Please can someone tell me if Tamiya plastic link system (51480) for F104v2/RM-01 has the same length than the Associated RC12.5 link system? Which do you prefer?. I broke my FRP Sybrand link system (TRG type) and i am thinking in changing it for one of these.

So you prefer the Associated one?
I noticed screws used are different from Tamiya , M2X6 for the 5 mm pivot balls and M3X5 for attaching them to the chassis? Is it right?.
Thanks.

I think Exotek F1R also uses the Associated plastic links. Can someone post the screws and pivot balls used with it?.
Thanks.
Thanks.

exotek uses the associated links and pivot balls. The associated links fit fine on the tamiya pivot balls. I've run associated links, tamiya links, even 1 of each when I was low on spares. I've broken both before. The trick in the end is to use m2x7mm or longer screws in the links and you should never break another one.
Have noticed over time the Tamiya links start to bend. Haven't found it to adversely affect performance though.

Thanks a lot, the problem is Sybrand Scythe does not use rear springs, maybe thatīs the reason to use fiberglass links. I think TRG fiberglass links may be right also but very difficult to find some webshop for TRG spares.

You can't use the normal plastic pivot ball and link system without the side springs. The car loses all steering (tried it once)
It would be a matter of emailing a TRG stockist to order the parts in for you. I haven't come across anyone that really lists the spare parts regularly available on their website... even in japan.
