The axle in not moving in the suspension holders. So the angle of the axle in the suspension holders is NOT a problem when applying toe in.
The issue is:
1) The suspension arm is not freely moving over the 3 mm axle. Solution is to drill carefully the 2 holes in the arm and make it by that move flawless.
2' The suspension arm is squeezed by the suspension holders when fitting the screws. Just take a little material away from the arm to free that.

Question:

Is the Xray adjustable upper deck for the FK05 worth the money, does it really work?

Also what benifits would a Multi-diff in spool or one way mode be for med grip asphalt on road?

Any other parts that would be benificial?

The adjustable upper deck it basically the only thing I got for the car, and it is well worth the money. It gives you a lot more tuning options then the stock upper deck...

the most important upgrade on the fk05 is steel axels on the front the standard one always end up buring then you cant get them out of the knuckle



part number 305315

also the motor guard part number 303060


and the battery strap part number 306162

the fk05 battery holder has been superseeded by the T2's one part number 306163

I will probably get the adjustable upper deck to better suit the changing traction levels of a parking lot track.

I already have one dimple in my body from the body being pshed againt the endbell of the motor, so the motor guard is an essential.

I won't be getting the battery strap, even though it is an awsome design as I hate small clips, I already use strapping tape and love it, it is so easy to change battery's and without any pots or other things in the way it is easier to change pinions and work on parts of the car.

i actually made a motor guard from an old evo2 chassis there are 2 parts of that chassis that can make them one is at the front and the other to make a more funky guard is around where the motor goes on the old evo2 or fk04 chassis

as for the battery srtap well i was using the tape for a month or so and ive been so much happier with turning one thumb screw to get my packs in and out

i had a mate using tape he ran over a corner dot and it ripped the tape and one of his best packs fell out and got damaged on the road

but dude trust me the steel axels if xray didnt make them I wouldnt drive the car

Yes the steel axles are great but they are kinda expensive for what you get ($40 for 2) but well worh the money!

Just bought a used FK05. I'm a newcomer to RC racing and I will race indoor carpet on a road course. Team Associated seems most popular where I come from, but I'd like to be a little different. Heard many good things about the FK05's quality, ease of maintenance and ability to win races. How is parts support? Do you expect parts to be available for a few more years? Who is good for mail order supply of the parts (and ships to Canada?). Do I read you right that the T2 battery strap substitutes perfectly for the discontinued T1FK05 battery strap?

Just got a FK05, and I see why you guys recommend the steel axles for the front Any suggestions on how to pass the stock axels through the bearing on the steering arm, my stock axels seam to have slightly warped due to rubbing on the dog bone.

you will have to tap the dog bone through the steering knuckle if its reallt bad you can get a hard knife and chip it away first where the c-clip goes

I used a small file to remove the flared out part of the axle, that way you can reuse it and not destroy the wheel bearings.
Usually a good hit will turn the str to far and bind with the dogbone, when you change to the steel axles then it will just bend the dogbone.
