How long ruffly will a set of tires last on a decently smooth asphalt track? One or twe race days or more?

If your car is ill handling (pushes) and you have a spool up front and you crank the steering in every corner with the car not steering, it will burn up the front tires pretty quick on asphalt, maybe two race days.

Otherwise, you should be able to get somewhere between three and five race days depending on how hot it is, how abrasive the asphalt is, etc. At that point all the tread will be worn away and the tire starts to push - our experience is they work better when there is still tread on them. Possibly because by that point there is a bit of a size (diameter) difference (with the fronts being smaller).

That's our experience with VTA here at Speedworld in Roseville/Sacramento, California.

... Breaking News ...
The latest issue of RC Driver magazine features an article on VTA! When I met the author, Tony Phalen, during the ROAR Carpet Nationals back in March he said that he was working on a VTA article for RC Driver magazine. Now here it is!

Hopefully the class continues to grow and flourish...if anyone finds the trinity batteries available...give us all a heads up
Now that trinity has stepped up with lipo packs can we try their 25.5?

Rears last a good amount of time. The fronts are variable depending on how well your car works. Push = bald tires fast...
