Ever since dirt got cleaner (hard packed tracks vs loamy clay) and short course has come about, dirt is all the rage. Heck if my local off road track (the rc pit) raced more than once a month, that usually ended up on drill weekends, Id prob still be into it. Luckily, Bush River Raceway, races indoor carpet on raod every weekend, and they are about to start outdoor offroad any week now. Im going to stick with indoors for a while. I like being able to race in the rain.

There is a "local" (aka 1 hour away), outdoor onroad club... SO after selling my old TC3 that I raced over 10 years ago (built to the 9s back when brushed 19T was new and hot)l; I picked up another one to "build."
I'm going to concentrate on chassis prep until the wheels/tires/body show up... then I'm going to cruise the parking lots to break in those tires. off to hunt for some spares I KNOW I will need

Try www.RaceVTA.com when searching for spares. Of course there is Ebay as well. I've yet to break anything in VTA with mine.
Maybe I've been spoiled... when I raced touring cars years ago it was a 5 minute walk to my car (I was in college) and a 15 minute drive down the road. The offroad track that just closed for me was maybe 30 minutes away if the truck drivers blocked up the highway.
