I switched my t4 '13 from 17.5 tc to 21.5 cvta and all I had to change was ride height / droop for the bigger tires/wheels and play with the shocks. Not much changed. I based most of my setup of off hagburgs carpet setup from last year. Vegas I think

FYI - For all that talk about not wanting to allow new cars in VTA... It's not the car people, it's the setup and driver... I (well we all) got beat by a 15 year old losi xxx-s and I was reminded that my gear dif cost more then his car. My hats off to Kevin K. Thanks for the beating.

Thanks Travis it was a great day of racing old style in full effect and not the beer...lol. Its not really the car as much as it is the setup and the driver is very true....this XXXS is far better than I am most times I race it. Its funny that people are still talking about wanting rules to outlaw newer cars and I just laugh because this old losi is still towards the top of time sheets...it was even said this weekend when the 15 year old car was TQ...lol.

I have a Yokomo MR4TC SD. I'm not the fastest guy a my track. I usually have to fight not to be the slowest. A friend tells me that he thinks I would do better with a newer chassis, and that I am wrestling with this one to get it around the track. I think I would do better just to get more laps in. I think the old Yokomo is balanced and neutral and still performs better than myself.

I went from a ta05 ifs v2 to a xray t4 13 and I have gotten faster because of that. But that's a big change in chassis. But I did make my first a main. Was in last in the a main but it's still the a main

USVTA is just 2 much fun. Always battles from start to finish. One small mistake can be the difference...

The only reason I shelved mine is some puke stole my stash of vintage XXXs parts I had collected, and I didn't want to try and collect them again.

I replaced it with a state of the art hot bodies cyclone from 2004...

That's evil. I really don't worry about theft at the track. Maybe it's because we all know each other and it's difficult to hide an action like that. Maybe it's because no one wants my $4!7.
