i know the TiN coated stuff is on the website because I ordered them online. They just don't have pics up. You have to read the descriptions close. I want to order the red self lubricating shoes.

Your car looked great yesterday.
Pretty impressed with how they all performed yesterday for such a new TC.

Not as fragile as what some posts in this thread would lead you to believe... I saw some massive hits in my main with the two vbc's and there were no broken parts.

Carpet setup
-Front End-
-0 degree arm sweep
-.5mm arm mount spacers
-camber link 2nd hole in from outside with stock spacers
-stock ackerman spacing
-1mm inside arm spacing
-45wt shock oil with 3 hole piston
-Spool
-Sway bar disconnected
-5mm ride height
-Droop 2.5mm above ride height
-1.5 camber and .5 deg toe out
-shock tower 3rd from inside stock on arm

-Rear End-
-2.5 deg toe
-.5mm arm mount spacers
-camber link all the way in on mount and inside on the hub with stock spacers
-3mm inside arm mount spacing
-40wt oil with 3 hole piston
-5mm ride height
-Droop 2.5mm above ride height
-Sway bar disconnected
-Gear diff with stock diff oil (anyone know what it is?)
-2.0 camber
-shock tower 3rd from inside stock on arm

-dual rate 72
-Mazda speed 6

What I played most with was spring combo.

Vbc red front white rear. Felt this was too hard and made car hard to drive.
X-ray 3.0 and 2.6 felt pretty good. Fast lap was 12.2
X-ray 3.0 and 2.2-2.6 progressive spring. Fast lap 12.3 almost 12.4.
Now the best spring combo. Vbc orange front green rear 11.8 and lots of 12.0!
I could be wrong but compairing vbc to X-ray I would say the orange is a 3.1 and the green is a 2.7. I think fast lap in tc was in the 11.8's

Rui sure got his VBC working yesterday after racing. I was on the stand when he hit his first 11.9.... It was starting to look good. Great work for your first day on rug... And with a new car!

They look very close, checked the size of an Xray chub w/ the caliper and see if it would fit within the dimensions of the outter A-arm... and it seems like it would fit (couldn't take off the tire b/c my tools are still in the car). If it's a bit tight, you could just use a file to shave off a few thousandths.

I've been told they fit.
Are you guys using a hard front bumper or stock?

Anyone have a complete shock spring list available from VBC? I see Green, Red, White and Orange on CRC's site. Are there any more options available?

Ran tonight at Middle River Hobbies carpet track in Maryland. Here was my setup:

-Front End-
Ride Height: 5mm
Toe: -0.5*
Camber: 2*
Arm Position: 2mm Front / 2mm Rear
Arm Mount Spacers: 1mm
Arm Sweep: 0 Degrees
Camber Link: 2nd hole in from outside
Camber Link Shims: 2mm Inside / 0mm Outside
Droop: +2mm (using HUDY 10mm droop blocks)
Sway Bar: Xray 1.5mm
Gear Diff: 1,000,000cSt
Shock Tower Position: 3rd from outside
Shock Arm Position: Outside
Shock Spring: Xray 3.0
Shock Oil: 700cSt
Shock Piston: 3 hole
Ackerman: Stock

-Rear End-
Ride Height: 5.2mm
Toe: -2.5*
Camber: 3*
Arm Position: 1mm Front / 3mm Rear
Arm Mount Spacers: 1mm
Camber Link: 2nd hole from inside / inside on hub
Camber Link Shims: 4mm Inside / 2mm Outside
Droop: +2mm (using HUDY 10mm droop blocks)
Sway Bar: VBC 1.2mm (Red/Stock)
Gear Diff: 1000cSt
Shock Tower Position: 2nd hole from inside
Shock Arm Position: Outside
Shock Spring: Xray 2.4
Shock Oil: 700cSt
Shock Piston: 3 Hole

Additional things...

I moved the rear arms forward 2mm to decrease my wheelbase a bit because the track was really tight (5-6' lanes), and I wanted it to rotate better in the corners (and additionally this should put more weight over the rear arms which should mean more traction). I also added 2mm spacers on the rear shock arm mount (mostly because I moved the arm forward 2mm so I wanted to make sure the shock was free to move, but it also added a bit of leverage which probably adds a bit of traction too).

I broke out in the main because while I added the 2mm shim on the lower shock mounts and had 4mm shim on the outer camber link, the set screws were not long enough to support this much shimming... so definitely need to use a longer set screw for these positions.

I see Rui, Ron and Jason were running the 0.5mm arm spacers, so I may try this next time to see how I like it (don't have the shim options at this point in time)
