It looks like the car shown from the iic has a new left side bulkhead that looks like CRC 3342 but isnt.

this appears to work with CRC Full Box Rear Top Plate [CLN1763]

Will this part be available for us bashers?

That left bulkhead is actually an old style one that came out with the original brushless pod. Not currently available, but would be nice if it was.

As stated multiple times in the thread already, yes a standard 1S pack will fit inline.....

The new Gen XI kit will include the parts to go inline with the battery, the conversion kit will not. There will be a seperate group of parts for those of you that want to go that route. The conversion kit comes with the new chassis, new steering blocks, axles, bearings and servo mounts.

The 3342 left side pod plate is an old part that are bringing back to use with the boxed in rear pod. If it is not on the website for sale, it will be soon as we have them in stock.

There's gonna be less space between the lipo and servo. Have you guys played around with various speed controls to see which will fit with a standard 1S inline? I'm thinking Tekin RS in particular...

I hope that's right, and the picture now on their (CRC's) site is wrong. They are still showing the small plastic left bulkhead. And if that is what they are going to do, the LEAST they could do is use the upgrade 4mm top plate instead of the std 2.5mm (I think) top plate since that IS a weak point in the car (only in accidents).

Im guessing there is going to be basically zero space between the battery and servo when using a standard size 1S lipo. I imagine the ESC will have to be mounted on the side of the chassis......

Do these two parts have the same part #? Which one will work on the new car?
thanks

Hi,

Yes, the 2 parts are the same. The first "version" of the 3342 is shown on the right. We later tweaked the part to the version shown on the left. After a brief time out of production, the 3342 shown on the left is back and fits the full enclosed pod setup.

While both versions fit ANY Gen-X10, 10LE, XL or Xi with the boxed in rear pod/top plate (1763), the 3342 shown on the left is the current product.

Thanks,
CRC
